Happy Almost Tax Day!!! Wow that pained me to write that!! The only person I know who is happy that Tax Day is almost here, is my sister who works for an accountant and spends every Saturday and a lot of late nights at work from January 1 thru Tax Day so for her Tax Day means a party and getting her Saturdays back. Wait, I guess there are also some of you who get a bunch of money back from Uncle Sam so you don’t care one way or the other that it’s Tax Day since you filed a long time ago and have already spent or saved your windfall.
But I am not one of those people and a good chunk of my self employed brethren are with me — tax day to me is a day when I part with some of my money (some years more than others) and send it off to DC because I have a hard time paying my estimated taxes even though I know it would make this day less painful.
In 2012, I’m going to try to be better at that process or at least save the money so I make something on it before I send it to Uncle Sam!! Wish me luck … I’m going to need it!!
